Description: Whitby Courthouse Theatre, east of Toronto, is casting the reduced-cast version of the musical Big Fish by Andrew Lippa and John August. Michael Yaneff directs, with Andy Barber as music director and Camille Dziewurski choreographing. The company stresses that all age ranges and genders listed are what is playable on stage and that it will be flexible where an actor convincingly serves the story. Performances run 4 to 20 February 2027.
Requirements: Principal roles include Edward Bloom, baritone or tenor, male, 25 and over; Will Bloom, tenor, male, 20s to 30s; Sandra Bloom, mezzo-soprano or soprano, female, 25 and over; Josephine Bloom, soprano or mezzo, female, 20s to 30s; Karl the Giant, bass-baritone, male, 16 and over; plus featured tracks with selective doubling inside a dynamic ensemble. Vocal ranges are specified role by role in the notice.
