Costumed Superhero Character Performers Wanted for Toronto Children's Events

Description: The Superhero Company hires costumed character performers to appear at children's parties and events across the Greater Toronto Area, typically running around three events a day. Eight characters are being cast, each with its own height band: Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Black Panther, Captain America, Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Luke Skywalker. Costumes and equipment are supplied, the company pays for the required background check, and paid training is given on hire. What matters most is genuine rapport with children and a North American accent. Hiring is ongoing, so the closing date shown here is an estimate.

Requirements: Ages 18 to 35 (18 to 33 for Wonder Woman and Supergirl), non-union, and the form states submissions are accepted from Toronto only. A valid driver's licence and your own vehicle are required for travel around the GTA, and full weekend availability on both Saturdays and Sundays is essential. Height bands: male roles 5'8" to 6'3" (Spider-Man 5'5" to 6'0"), female roles 5'3" to 5'10".

Pay: CA$100 to $300 per day across roughly three events, starting at $100 per hour, plus a travel supplement for more distant GTA locations. Expect 8 to 20 shows a month depending on your availability.
