Description: Outliers Theatre Collective is casting Dr. Rieux in Neil Bartlett's stage adaptation of Camus's The Plague. Rieux is the doctor handed responsibility for the epidemic sweeping the community. Rehearsals begin in early November 2026 and the run is 18-29 November 2026 at the Small World Centre on Shaw Street. Only the Dr. Rieux role is open at present, and only shortlisted applicants are contacted. Note: submissions are rolling with no closing date stated, so the deadline shown here is an indicative one set by our editorial team.
Requirements: Female-identifying actor aged 30 to 50. Equity and non-Equity both accepted. BIPOC applicants are particularly encouraged, and all ethnicities are welcome.
Pay: Profit share under the CAEA Artists' Collective Policy: box office takings are divided among everyone involved. No fixed fee, and no cost to apply.
