The Casting Files 2026: national open call for Australia's new faces

Description: A fashion magazine has opened a nationwide search for emerging faces across Australia, run together with a luxury haircare brand. Eight people will be picked by the magazine and by model and actor Charlee Fraser, and flown to Sydney for a shooting experience built around a digital cover, with mentoring and creative direction on set. The selected faces also appear in a printed feature and in the exhibition tied to the project. The call is open on a rolling basis; check the entry page for the current cut-off.

Requirements: Aspiring and emerging faces based in Australia, with no agency contract required. You need to supply unretouched digitals, front and profile, plus a short written piece about what confidence means to you.

Pay: No fee is paid for the shoot. The eight selected get return travel to Sydney and accommodation arranged by the organisers, professional mentoring, a digital cover image, a feature in the magazine and inclusion in the associated exhibition. Nothing is charged to entrants.
