Melbourne Theatre Company: register for a general audition

Description: Melbourne Theatre Company runs general auditions at least once every twelve months, aimed at Melbourne-based performers the company has not met before or has not seen for several years. Actors put themselves forward by emailing the casting department directly, and the submissions are kept on file even when an audition slot cannot be offered straight away. Registration is open continuously; the date shown is an indicative sixty-day horizon.

Requirements: Melbourne-based professional actors. An acting CV and a headshot must be attached, with the email subject line formatted as "Your Name | Casting Department GENERAL AUDITION". Actors who have an agent should have the agent make contact instead.

Pay: MTC is a professional company and its engagements are paid; the general audition itself is a meeting, not an engagement, and costs nothing to apply for.
