A Chorus Line — Theatre Group Asia Nationwide Open Call Auditions

Description: Theatre Group Asia is holding a nationwide search for the lead and ensemble cast of A Chorus Line, which opens in March 2027 at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater in Circuit Makati. The tour of open calls stops in Manila on 6 September at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater, in Cebu on 13 September, in Bacolod on 20 September at Function Hall 1 of Ayala Malls Capitol Central, in Davao on 11 October at Locsin Dance Workshop, and back in Manila on 25 October. Online submissions are accepted, but the company has said face-to-face auditions will be prioritised so that the team can assess each performer's presence and energy in the room.

Requirements: Performers aged 18 and over with a solid grounding in ballet, jazz or modern dance, and familiarity with the show's story and characters. Candidates prepare two contrasting song selections of 32 bars each, one upbeat and one slow, from any genre, plus a monologue from the musical; choreography is taught on the day. Bring the registration form, a resume, a recent headshot, dance shoes, water and snacks, and wear comfortable clothing.

Pay: A professional commercial production. The announcement does not publish rates, which are agreed with the performers who are cast. No audition fee is charged.

How to apply: Sign up through the Google Form link for the chosen city published on Theatre Group Asia's channels, then attend that city's audition date. Walk-in registration is accepted on the day but places may be limited.
