The 39 Steps at The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater: video auditions for understudies and the Foley Artist

Description: The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater in Pleasant Grove is reviving its 2012 production of The 39 Steps with most of the original cast and is hiring understudies for the four main roles plus the on-stage Foley Artist. Auditions are by video only; in-person callbacks by invitation are on 10 October 2026, rehearsals start around 30 November 2026 and the show runs from 22 February to 24 April 2027.

Requirements: Richard Hannay (male presenting, mid-30s); Annabella Schmidt / Pamela / Margaret (female presenting, 20s-30s); Clown 1 and Clown 2 (male presenting, 30s-50s, physical comedians playing many roles); Foley Artist (any gender, 20s-50s). Tape the excerpts from the understudy sides provided by the theater, with the accents noted, in landscape and framed from the waist up.

Pay: Paid at pre-budgeted, non-negotiable rates per role; no Equity contracts, no transportation or housing.
