Nine character extras for a dystopian short film — Adelaide

Description: Director Molly Huson is assembling nine strongly characterised extras for a montage sequence set on a dystopian street. The brief leans into distinctive looks — punk styling, unusual hair, visible piercings and tattoos are actively encouraged rather than tolerated. Filming is one day, based in Beverley with some movement between locations.

Requirements: Roles include: a woman 25-35 with very long red or blonde hair; two punk men 18-26 with dark hair, spiked hair or a mohawk preferred; a woman 45+ able to play menacing; a young man 18-27 with a lean, pale, tall "genius" look; a wild-card extra with experimental fashion sense or visible tattoos and piercings; and two women 18-25 as dystopian schoolgirls. Applicants must be free for one day between 8 and 18 January 2027.

Pay: Unpaid. Catering is provided on set and all extras receive a film credit.
