Central Casting: free permanent registration for background actors (LA, New York, Georgia, Louisiana)

Description: Central Casting is the main background casting company in the United States and books hundreds of background actors every day on studio films and TV series. Registration is permanently open with no closing date, through offices in Los Angeles, New York, Georgia (Atlanta area) and Louisiana. Once registered you also get access to the open roles board, where casting directors post specialty and featured parts. Deadline shown here is a conventional 60-day horizon since the registration has no fixed closing date.

Requirements: Adults legally allowed to work in the United States, resident in or able to reach one of the four office areas. No previous experience needed. Registration is completed online and then finalised in person at the local office with paperwork and a casting photo.

Pay: Background work is paid at union or non-union daily rates depending on the production. Registration is explicitly free of charge.
