Horizon — unpaid teaser shoot for an independent Kiwi TV series (Auckland)

Description: An independent New Zealand production is shooting a teaser for a new series called Horizon and is openly looking for actors willing to donate their time. The teaser will be used to raise funding for a pilot and, eventually, a full season, so those cast get in at the ground floor. The producers are candid that the project is self-funded and that no fee is available. Shooting is planned for spring 2026 with dates still to be confirmed, so the 5 October 2026 date here is our conventional cut-off for a call with no published deadline.

Requirements: Seven roles are open: woman 30–50, man 50–70, man 20–25 (barista experience a plus), man 30–37, woman 20–40, man 25–29, woman 45–55. A New Zealand accent and your own transport are required. All ethnicities encouraged.

Pay: Unpaid. The production explicitly offers screen credit, on-set experience and involvement from the beginning of the project instead of a fee.
