Description: Pioneer Theatre Company in Salt Lake City is casting Mean Girls (book by Tina Fey), directed by Shelley Butler, with rehearsals from 4 to 29 January 2027 and performances from 29 January to 13 February 2027. Local actors audition in person on Friday 2 October 2026 at the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre; callbacks by invitation are on 3 October. All roles in the breakdown are open.
Requirements: Local actors. Roles: Cady, Regina, Janis, Damian, Gretchen, Karen, Aaron and Kevin G. (18+ to play high school age), Ms. Norbury / Mrs. Heron / Mrs. George (30s to early 50s), Mr. Duvall (30s-50s) and an ensemble of strong singers, actors and dancers in their 20s. Prepare 32 bars of a contemporary musical theatre song, bring sheet music, headshot and resume. Rehearsals run up to eight hours a day, Monday to Saturday.
Pay: Production under an Actors' Equity LORT contract, as stated on the theatre's audition page; the notice does not give the weekly rate.
How to apply: Book an audition slot through the sign-up links in the audition notice, open from 9am on Wednesday 23 September 2026 (non-union actors may book only between 2pm and 5pm on 2 October). Out-of-town actors can submit to Geoff Josselson Casting for the New York auditions on 5-8 October 2026.
