Central Casting: free registration for background actors

Description: Central Casting has been supplying background performers to film and television for more than ninety years and keeps a permanently open talent database across its four offices. Its casting directors book hundreds of background actors, stand-ins and doubles every single day for studio features, streaming series and network shows. Registration stays open all year, no experience is asked for, and union and non-union performers are both accepted.

Requirements: You must be legally authorised to work in the United States. All ages, genders and ethnicities are taken; minors need a parent or guardian to open and manage the account, and babies must be at least 15 days old. No previous credits required.

Pay: Paid work. Day rates are set by each production and by the SAG-AFTRA agreements where they apply. Signing up costs nothing.

How to apply: Create a talent profile in the sign-up section of the Central Casting website, choosing the office closest to you, then follow that office's instructions to finish registering.
