Description: Swahili Fashion Week, the annual East African runway platform founded in 2008 by Tanzanian couturier Mustafa Hassanali, has opened registration for its 19th edition, staged in Dar es Salaam on 4, 5 and 6 December 2026. The programme brings together runway shows, a pop-up market, the Tanzania Fashion Forum and the Swahili Fashion Awards.
Requirements: Fashion and accessory designers from Swahili-speaking countries and beyond, both emerging and established, with a coherent collection ready to be shown on a runway. Applicants submit their profile and collection details through the official registration form.
Pay: No payment to participants: the edition offers runway exposure, press coverage and buyer contacts. The application form is free to submit.
